October 2008:
The success of the summer teams has not been carried
througth to the winter league. The
first team have opened with three straight defeats.
The side have lost Joe Crill and Stuart Blake from last
season, whilst James Frost is not regularly available.
The seconds opened with a win but followed this with
two defeats. The thirds started with defeat, won their
second game and drew their third. The Wanderers have
a similar record, but their win came courtsey of a walk
over! The Wizards lost two close games but earned their
first point in the home draw with Bristol & West.
The Warriors and Widgets have ben unable to register
any points in their opening games. This may sound very
gloomy, but there is a silver lining! A number of young
players have made their winter debut and shown they
have skill and the potential to do well. |

September 2008:
The veterans got the season under
way with the 2nd annual Westbury Tournament. The team
battled hard on a hot and sticky day winning once, drawing
once and losing twice. |

| Training
at Coombe Dingle has started. Last week (2/9/08) on a very wet
evening 29 players traing at the lower end of the club at 7:30pm.
This week 35 members attended - and yes there was a littel
rain as well. Pricey has come up trumps with active sessions
that challenge everyone to extend their skills. |

| SUMMER
LEAGUE 2008: The 1st XI achieved their best position in Division
1 for 20 years by finishing runners up to Team Bath Buccs. The
'B' XI won Division 3 by defeating S Glos in their final game.
The 'C' XI were runners up in Division 4 finishing with an impressive
5 straight wins. |

annual fixture Bluebottles v STYX XI took place
for many years over the Christmas/New Year holidays. Results
